RoC® Smooth Perfexion® Instant Line Corrector was sent to me as a courtesy of RoC Skincare. All thoughts and opinions in the following review are my own and have not been swayed by the receipt of this complimentary product.

I had to write the above as per FTC Guidelines governing bloggers and, since I’m a RoC Brand Ambassador, the people at RoC, when they send me complimentary product always remind me to be transparent in my posts and let readers know that I received free products for review. But here’s the thing that they don’t know – I’d use RoC products even if they didn’t send them to me – and I am in love, love, love with the newest product in their skincare line, RoC Smooth Perfexion Instant Line Corrector.

RoC Smooth Perfexion Instant Line Corrector

I’ve used other cosmetic line filler/correctors before – and hated everything about them. They felt heavy. At least two of them formed little balls of product as I applied them and left me no choice, after trying them several times, but to wash them off and throw them away. Another left streaks of product on my face. All in all, I had just about given up on Line Corrector until RoC sent me their version. And I was still skeptical …

How do line correctors work (or not, as has so sadly been the case with the others I’ve tried)? Some are meant to be smoothed directly onto facial lines and wrinkles and have a pointed tip for targeted application. Others are applied with sponges or fingers and are meant to be smoothed onto skin just as you would a moisturizer. The product then fills facial lines and wrinkles making skin appear smoother. The best ones, besides working immediately to improve skin’s surface appearance, will, with continued use, work to improve skin’s texture. Such is the case with RoC Smooth Perfexion Instant Line Corrector.

RoC Smooth Perfexion Instant Line Corrector is made with Copper-Zinc Technology which, according to the company’s literature, “harnesses the science of bioelectricity in a revolutionary patented micro-current technology, generates a flow of energy that travels through the surface layers of the skin (safely and gently) to help stimulate the renewal process and reveal firmer, younger-looking skin and works to help visibly firm skin.” The company says the product “bridges the gap between skincare and cosmetics to deliver … visibly firm skin in one easy step.”

Honestly, I cannot speak on the former claims but I can on the latter. (According to RoC, seven out of 10 women who used the product for two weeks found that their skin looked so good, they felt they did not need to wear makeup.)  RoC Smooth Perfexion Instant Line Corrector  applies easily and smoothly and makes my skin look and feel smoother upon application. As is typical for me when I’m testing a product that offers immediate results, I applied it to one side of my face and then examined myself closely. I don’t have deep lines or wrinkles but the side of my face to which I applied RoC Smooth Perfexion Instant Line Corrector did have a smoother appearance. The company says that makeup is optional – but I applied foundation anyway. I do wear it sometimes and I wanted to cover the bases for my review. The foundation applied easily without pulling, pooling or caking. (Other line correctors I tried made my foundation stick to the product in the most unattractive way that showed every pore and seemed, in fact, to make fine lines look much worse than had I not applied the product.) As I’ve written, this is not my favorite makeup product category because, prior to using RoC, I had not found one that I wanted to use at all. And, just fyi, I received several of those for free too. Also fyi, RoC Smooth Perfexion Instant Line Corrector is oil-free and non-comedogenic, which means that it won’t clog your pores.

5 Comments on A Line Corrector That Actually Works! RoC® Smooth Perfexion® Instant Line Corrector

  1. Hi Jancy, Thanks so much for writing! I didn’t know that RoC discontinued this product! I just did a quick internet search and you can still get it on Amazon and several other vendors. Let’s you and I stock up! I have used other much more expensive line correctors and they left me with white balls all over my face. So not good! RoC works great! I agree completely with you! Do an internet search. You will still be able to find it. Good luck. In the meantime, I will ask my contact at RoC about it. RoC still offers this, although I haven’t tried it yet. https://www.rocskincare.com/deep-wrinkle-treatments/retinol-correxion-deep-wrinkle-filler

Thank you again for writing – and for venting (and also for letting me know about the discontinuation!) Stock up where you can find it! All my best, Melody

  2. Is there any product that can compare to this since it has been discontinued? I’m all out and have had no luck with other products. Thank you

  3. Hi Cathy, Thank you so much for reading EverBeautiful.com and for your question. I do not know of another product that works as well, I’m sorry to report. I’ve tried others and they were flaky and/or didn’t work. I will keep my eyes open for you – and others who may be upset that this product has been discontinued – and will write back if I come across anything similar. I’m bummed too. Let me know if you find anything you like. Thanks! Best, Melody
