DJEEG’N – New Designer Alert!

It’s early July and I’m already tired of my summer wardrobe. It needs an infusion of color and style and just, you know, I want something new. I’m not the shopper who buys an entire season’s worth of clothing in one spree. I love the shopping experience, the search for the perfect little white dress, go-to top or great jacket. Luckily, I’m a fashion writer and know just where to go when I crave something new and fabulous. Not to worry. I’m going to share my info with you.

I just discovered a brand new label called DJEEG’N. Sounds like a mouthful to pronounce but it’s not. Say it like this, Jee-gan. The name is inspired by the Wolof (a language of West Africa) word Djiguën, which means woman. (I love that!)

The DJEEG’N brand is sophisticated, effortless, chic. Natural fabrics, patterns that draw their inspiration from Africa and Indonesia, flattering silhouettes and the perfect mix of neutrals with colors that pop are hallmarks of the brand.

But enough with the words. Here are some of my favorite picks from the line. Discover more for yourself on their website. (There’s currently a sale going on!) And follow them on Facebook and Twitter for more information about the brand and their latest collections.
