Best and Worst Looks from the Met Gala

EverBeautiful.com would like to thank the LifeMinuteTV team for allowing us to share the following video and for the great commentary below:

One of fashion’s biggest nights, the Met Costume Gala attracts the hottest celebs all to honor the Met Museum’s new Costume Institute exhibit, this year showing off the work of designer Charles James.

On the carpet…style icons, Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour in Chanel Couture and Sarah Jessica Parker in Oscar de la Renta.

Also in Chanel Couture was Kristin Stewart and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Allison Williams, Claire Danes, and Taylor Swift took cues from SJP and wore glamorous Oscar de la Renta gowns.

Stella McCartney struck a pose with an a-list posse including Reese Witherspoon, Kate Bosworth, Rihanna and Cara Delevingne all wearing her creations.

Selena Gomez and Jessica Alba rocked Diane von Furstenberg and Kate Mara and Maggie Gyllenhaul both wore Valentino.

Katie Holmes made a statement in Marchesa; Michelle Williams wore Louis Vuitton and Anne Hathaway showcased Calvin Klein. Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o once again wore Prada.

For the guys, Bradley Cooper and Paul Rudd looked dapper in Tom Ford and Calvin Klein, respectively.

Paired with purple hair Nicole Ritchie donned Donna Karen Atelier and Janelle Monae was layered in Tadashi Shoji.

Kristin Wiig in Balenciaga walked the carpet with designer Alexander Wang and Lena Dunham was on the arm of Giambattista Valli who constructed her detailed dress.

(The video embedded a little weird. Best to view it in full size mode.)

  1. Loved many – but sad that another year many did not follow the theme. I adored Katie Holmes- the color was a risk but fun!! My favorite {always} is Sarah Jessica Parker!!!!!! The dress fit the theme and was divine!! loved her choice of her own shoes in a custom color {the grosgrain ribbon detail is so darling} she can do no wrong!
