Murad Travel Products

Summer is around the corner and it’s time to get outta town. While it’s great to get away, travel can wreak havoc on skin. Dry airplane cabins, hotel soaps, different environments all take their toll. I’d love it if I could take my favorite beauty products with me on vacation and, in order to do so, I’ve poured and squeezed them into travel containers, those clear plastic things you can buy in the drugstore. It’s a messy business – and expensive because whatever’s left over upon my return sits in those little containers in my travel kit and either dries out or loses its efficacy to time. But, that is all in my past, thanks to one of my very favorite beauty brands, Murad, Inc. Murad products are tested on people, not animals and, of course, are dermatologist developed and scientifically proven to be effective. Plus, they are sulfate-, parabens- and phthalate-free so you can use them with confidence.

If you’ll be hitting the road this summer, tuck one or more of these beauty essentials into your travel bag.

Murad Clarifying Wipes for Blemish-Prone Skin – These pre-moistened wipes are loaded with ingredients that gently cleanse, removing oil and dirt while balancing, toning and refreshing skin. If you have blemish-prone skin, tuck a pack in your beach bag, gym bag or handbag and refresh oily skin anywhere. No rinsing is required so they’re great on the go. P.S. As a former oily-skinned girl, I’d have taken these to work with me too and refreshed my skin midday to ward off blemishes.

Murad Balancing Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 15 PA++ – When I was younger and fighting blemishes, the thought at the time was to dry the skin until it was beef jerky. We used alcohol wipes, soaked up the sun with unprotected skin and washed our faces until they were raw. We also avoided moisturizer at all costs. How philosophies have changed! Of course, for years now dermatologists have recognized the importance of keeping blemish-prone skin moisturized and protected against harmful UVA/UVB rays and, leave it to Murad, Inc. to come up with the perfect product to do this. Balancing Moisturizer hydrates and protects skin from the sun’s rays while it helps to control oil to prevent blackheads, breakouts and shine. Vitamins A, C and E support cell turnover and lactic and amino acids balance and hydrate skin. Tuck this baby into your travel kit and use it after cleansing with Murad Clarifying Wipes.

Murad Hydrating Toner – I won’t live without this spray mist, let alone go on vacation without it. It’s alcohol free, has no phthalates, parabens or sulfates and refreshes and moisturizers my skin while maintaining its pH balance. Best thing about it, aside from the fact that it’s portable and can be used anywhere, it contains chamomile and cucumber extracts that soothe my sensitive skin – great after time outdoors. It also contains lecithin to help my skin attract water and retain it for a plumper, more youthful appearance.

Murad Youth Builder Rejuvenating AHA Hand Cream – This is another product I swear by, have written about before and carry with me at all times. I bought several and keep one in my various handbags as well as my travel and gym bags. And here’s why: One of the very first body parts to show age is our hands. For years, I was scrupulous about moisturizing my face and neck but I neglected my hands. It wasn’t until I started taking photos of them for EverBeautiful.com that I realized how old they looked. It was time to take matters into my own … (couldn’t resist, sorry.) Murad’s Youth Builder Rejuvenating AHA Hand Cream contains glycolic acid to improve skin’s texture; it also has hyaluronic acid to improve hydration and protect the moisture barrier to keep my hands soft. I use this hand cream liberally after showering, washing my hands and before bedtime and have noticed a difference in the appearance of the skin on my hands. My hands also feel smoother. My husband, who has terribly dry skin that cracks and bleeds in winter has used this product and loves it. (I bought him a tube to keep in his briefcase.) Tuck a tube into your travel bag to use after a swim, a day at the beach, showering or any time your hands feel dry and rough.

The folks at Murad, Inc. are generous and sent me these products to review for readers of EverBeautiful.com. My opinions have not been influenced by this fact and, full disclosure, I’ve been buying Murad products for years, long before I began EverBeautiful.com, simply because I like them.
