Heads up, NYC, LA and Miami. GLAMSQUAD has come to your towns and you know what that means – salon services in the privacy of your own home, office, hotel or wherever you may be. I’m talking blowouts, braids, updos and makeup application in your home, at your convenience and at prices that are similar to those at the salon.

How does it work? You book an appointment through GLAMSQUAD’s iPhone app after which you’ll receive an email confirmation that a stylist will show up at your door with everything she needs to make you beautiful. (Don’t have an iPhone? No problem. You can book an appointment through their website.)

GLAMSQUAD

I know, you don’t want just anyone coming to your home let alone messing with your hair. Rest assured that GLAMSQUAD stylists and makeup artists have years of professional experience and are vetted thoroughly before being asked to join the GLAMSQUAD team.

Now that you have your appointment, what happens next? GLAMSQUAD asks that your hair be wet for styling so wash it 15 to 20 minutes before your stylist shows up. Then, set up a chair near an outlet, choose from a menu of blow out styles which you can, of course, tweak to your preference and enjoy the experience of having your hair styled at home.

I received a coupon for a free styling service from GLAMSQUAD and passed it along to my daughter who lives in NYC. “The whole experience was great,” she said. “It was very convenient to have the stylist come to my apartment. The stylist was very friendly and it was a great blowout.”

The cost for at-home beautifying? It’s $50.00 for a blowout, $75.00 for braids and $85.00 for an updo. Makeup application is $75.00.

GLAMSQUAD automatically adds a 20% tip to your credit card – but, if you love the service, feel free to give your stylist an additional cash tip.

I love the idea of having my hair professionally styled at home and wish that GLAMSQUAD was available in my hometown. How do you feel it? Leave a comment in the Comments section below. I’d love to hear from you.
