GoSwype Reusable Microbial Device Cleaners are available in cute designs

When I first heard about GoSwype, antimicrobial microfiber wipes used to safely clean cell phones, tablets, computers and other delicate electronic equipment that can’t be immersed in water, I thought “yeah, yeah. Much ado about not much.” But a little research turned up the fact that there are some nasty germy thingies clinging to your devices that would turn your stomach – or make it sick.

Case in point: Dr. Sanjay Gupta tested Anderson Cooper‘s electronic devices and found fecal strep – fecal strep! – on his cell phone. (I don’t want to think about how it got there but when I think about the places I’ve left my own phone, including the grass when I’m out walking my dog and wearing clothes with no pockets, I kinda cringe at the thought of putting my phone up to my ear or worse, my mouth. Serious yuck!

GoSwype sent me three quite adorable free samples of their product which I happily shared with my daughters who sometimes suffer the occasional breakout. (Oh yes, cell phones are implicated in acne flareups too. Ya gotta clean the devices that touch your face.)  I’ve been using mine for several days and feel much better about cradling my beloved iPhone because independent labs show that GoSwype kills 98% of germs including E.Coli, Staph and Salmonella bacteria. (Anderson, I hope you’re reading this.) Its microfiber fabric is the industry-recommended material for safely cleaning your hi-tech touchscreen glass so bye bye fingerprints, skin oils and, yeah, fecal strep germs.

GoSype comes in assorted (and pretty fabulous) designs and sells for $1.99 apiece. Each one is reusable for 200 swipes and it’s recommended for use twice daily.

I can’t think of a better stocking stuffer. Can you?
