KETTLEBELL SWING

Begin in a wide stance squat with the kettle bell placed on the floor between your feet and slightly back behind you. Grab the bell and swing it backwards between your legs. As the swing reverses up, powerfully snap your hips forward to swing the bell straight out in front of you. Perform 20 repetitions, emphasizing the hip snap each time.

FUNCTIONAL STEP UP

Place bells on a high step in front of you. Step up onto the step with your right leg. Hover with the right knee bent while you flex your spine forward and grab the bells. From here, stand all the way up to a balance on the right leg. As you are coming back down off the step, take a second to place the bells back down, then step all the way off. Perform 10 repetitions on each side.

OFF KILTER SINGLE LEG SQUAT

Place a kettle bell on the left side of the body. Stand on the left leg. Start to lower the body down, reaching with the left hand for the kettle bell. Your pelvis will slightly shift so the right side of the pelvis is slightly higher than the left. Energetically push down through all four corners of the left foot to return to the starting position. Perform 10 reps then repeat on the other side.
