Violent Lips, Pink Glitteratti
Violent Lips, Pink Glitteratti

What, you are undoubtedly asking, are Violent Lips? Well, they’re temporary lip tattoos and they come in a variety of designs and finishes and, while they’re a little bit crazy, they’re a lot fabulous.

One of my favorite beauty tricks is to add glitter to my Chanel Glossimer. I dip the glossimer applicator into a pot of glitter, replace it in the wand and, after doing this several times, I have the absolutely perfect amount of glitter – for me – to apply to my lips. So, no surprise that I am lips over heels in love with the Glitteratti series from Violent Lips. It comes in seven colors, all glitzed to the max.

Not a fan of glitter? No problem. Try any of Violent Lips’ 40 designs – and counting – from solid colors to bold animal prints to stars and stripes and more. Express yourself without saying a word and let Violent Lips make a statement for you. The temporary lip tattoos come printed with words including “Poison,” “Single,” “Bite,” “Shhh,” “Yes,” “Hello,” “Kiss,” “Love,” “Muah,” “Xoxo,” “Bitch,” “Pout,” “And,” and “Feisty.”

Each vitamin enhanced appliqué from Violent Lips lasts 4 to 8 hours and is said to be easy to apply to lips of all sizes. Follow the instructions on the back of each application or watch the company’s online tutorials to help apply the product. The appliqué itself is applied and sealed using water much like a temporary tattoo and removes easily with mineral or baby oil and a textured wipe.

Prices range from $9.99 to $14.95, come in sets of three to a package and are available at http://www.violentlips.com. You can also purchase the Glitteratti series exclusively at Sephora.  Pucker up!

  1. I’ve got the pink glittery one but haven’t got round to using it yet – must get onto it and post it on my site for all to see…

I’m not sure how often most people would wear them though, on a more practical basis?

  2. Gemma – I’ve got the pink glittery one too. I’m waiting for just the right occasion to pop it onto my mouth. I see Violent Lips in editorials and on rock stars. It’s definitely a “look,” especially the more graphic ones. But it’s fun. If you’d like, please share a photo of you in Violent Lips or a link to your post on EverBeautiful’s FB wall when you upload. Would love to see … Best, Melody
